The agreement is a partnership established by a company with pharmacies, with the objective of developing a direct relationship with benefits for its employees. There is no control by the associations in the processing of data in agreements. The agreement between the pharmacy and a company determines the processing of personal data of its employees, normally through deductions from the payroll (of the full value of the medicine or with some reduction). In these processes of processing registration data, the pharmacies are operators of the agreements, since the personal data is verified at the counter in order to verify whether the beneficiary really has the agreement.
Loyalty programs
There are three types of loyalty programs:
i) exclusive offers, which allow the pharmacy to achieve gambling data south africa greater assertiveness in its interactions with customers, as well as allowing customers to enjoy content and benefits that are more compatible with their individual profiles;
ii) advertising, which allows the targeting of content and benefits that are more relevant to each customer’s preferences; and
iii) points programs, which allow customers to accumulate and redeem points from their purchases, also called earn and burn .
Through PBM, the pharmacy customer purchases a discounted medication, with the authorization of the laboratory or industry that authorized it. This discounted amount is sold upon confirmation of registration and reimbursement from the industry to the pharmacy. In this case, the retailer is not the data controller, but the industry. The PBM platform is usually operated by third parties, and not developed by the industry itself.
In the Brazilian model, in general, a prior registration is carried out with the holder's personal data, in order to grant discounts directly with the pharmaceutical industry. The information that passes through the PBM system is data such as CPF, name and signature. However, there is also a second registration system, called offline registration, or registration at the counter.
When the data is used to release this PBM, the controller is not passing this data to the drugstore's own system, but rather through the pharmaceutical industry's system that developed and manages the program. In addition, there is an integrated system in the stores, which allows the pharmaceutical industry to analyze the eligibility of the benefits program. After analyzing the PBM's qualification, the sale is finalized with the application of the discount. The pharmacy only makes a request for information about the benefit eligibility.
